DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's tennis team opens its 2025 fall season this weekend, looking to build with 6 added players added to the roster that returns 4 starting players from the previous years. The Bulldogs will use the fall slate to build momentum and prepare for the spring dual season, testing themselves against competition across the Midwest and beyond.
Drake begins play Sept. 12–13 at the River Forest Invitational in Illinois, before returning home for back-to-back tournaments at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center—the Drake Hidden Dual (Sept. 13–14) and the Knapp Invite (Sept. 26–27).
The Bulldogs then travel to Norman, Oklahoma, for the ITA Regional Championships (Oct. 8–12), one of the premier fall events.
The fall season concludes with two November road trips: the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge in Dallas, Texas (Oct. 31–Nov. 2) and the Bonita Bay Invitational in Fort Myers, Florida (Nov. 7–9).
"Looking forward to seeing the guys compete this weekend and the remainder of the fall," Drake head coach
Justin Stuckey said. "We will have a split squad and a lot of matches against good competition."
With a balanced mix of returners and new faces, Drake will look to sharpen its lineup and gain valuable experience throughout the fall season before chasing a Summit League championship in the spring.
