The Basics
The Drake men's golf team begins its 2026 spring season with an international trip for the Compadres Collegiate hosted by The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The tournament will be three days (Feb. 1-3) with 18 holes played each day from Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

About the Course
Playa Paraiso Golf Club has been a staple course in the realm of international golf and has hosted prestigious events such as the World Amateur Team Championships 2016, Big Break Mexico, Iberostar Riviera Maya Open, along with being an 11-time host of the classification round for the Mayakoba Golf Classic OHL PGA TOUR and has hosted of the Bupa Match Play – PGA Tour Latinoamérica 2018-2019. The P.B. Dye designed course will play at 6,701 yards and as a par 72 for the tournament.
