The Basics
Drake men's tennis will host a Sunday doubleheader tomorrow with matches against NAIA foes Grand View (9 a.m.) and William Woods (4 p.m.) in the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Bulldog Breakdown
Drake is on a roll recently with wins in its last four matches. Three of their wins have been by a comfortable margin including a 4-0 shutout of Austin Peay on the road. The Dogs' most narrow win in their current stretch came on Feb. 1 with a 4-3 triumph over Creighton.
Scouting Grand View
The Vikings of Grand View are 1-1 so far this spring with a loss to MSOE and win over Central College, both of which came on Feb. 7.
Drake leads the official all-time series with Grand View by a 1-0 margin. The Bulldogs won the only previous meeting last year a 7-0 shutout at home.
Scouting William Woods
Sunday's afternoon match will be just William Woods' second of the season. The Owls opened their campaign on Jan. 27 with a 4-2 win over McKendree on the road. WWU's win avenged a 5 2 defeat to McKendree in the fall portion of the schedule.
Drake also owns a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series with William Woods. Drake took down WWU 7-0 in 2024.
Up Next
The Bulldogs will continue their homestand with two more matches in Des Moines. Chicago State will visit town on Feb. 20 before Saint Louis enters on Feb. 21.
