Nine Bulldogs Included Among 2026 ITA Scholar-Athlete Honorees

Drake men and women also listed as All-Academic Teams

DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's and women's tennis were represented by nine Bulldogs on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Scholar-Athletes list, the ITA announced yesterday.

The Bulldogs' men's honorees include Francisco Landeras, Max Goldemberg, Alan Gonzalez, and Adan Tarquino.

"This is a great accomplishment for the guys," Drake men's tennis head coach Justin Stuckey said. "This is the second year in a row they have received this award. To have the success that we had on the court and combine that with success in the classroom really speaks to how hard they work as student athletes."

Jana Ruzic, Shiori Takeda, Maja Dodik, Elizabete Klavinska, and Jordane Cookie garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete honors on the women's side.

"What a great achievement by these players," Bulldog women's head coach Calvin Song added. "It reflects the hard work our student-athletes put into the classroom as well as on the court. I'm incredibly proud of each and every one of them for their dedication and commitment to growing academically and athletically."

Drake's contingent made up nine of over 2,500 Scholar-Athlete recipients while the Bulldogs were one of nearly 400 teams represented.
