ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Veteran Bulldogs Tomas Butkovic and Cole Schrage represented the Bulldogs as the league's respective Goalkeeper of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, the MVC announced today.
 
Butkovic did not record a save in either of Drake's 2-0 wins against Green Bay or Wartburg, but he did anchor the Bulldogs in both shutout victories. The Australia native currently leads the conference with just two goals allowed so far this season.
 
Schrage also helped the Bulldogs shut down both opposing offenses last week. He played 133 total minutes and came off the bench to dish out an assist in Drake's recent defeat of Wartburg.
 
Drake men's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday, Sep. 2 in a home matchup against Milwaukee. The Bulldog and Panthers will kick things off around 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a double-header inside Mediacom Stadium.
