The Basics
Drake men's soccer finished up its recent four-game homestand last week and is now ready to hit the road for four more. The Bulldogs' road swing will start tomorrow, Sep. 12, at Oral Roberts before getting tropical in Miami for a Sep. 19 visit to FIU.
Bulldog Breakdown
After drawing in their first two matches then winning the next pair, Drake suffered its first defeat of the season last week against the 23rd-ranked Roos of Kansas City. The Bulldogs put some major pressure on KC, but a lone Kansas City goal was enough for the Roos to leave DSM with the victory.
Drake's 3-0-2 start marked the second consecutive year the Bulldogs began their season with that record.

Scouting Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts enters the weekend at 1-2-2 overall with losses in its last two outings. The Golden Eagles were beaten by CSUN and Central Arkansas in their most recent tilts after drawing two straight before that. ORU is looking for its first win since a 2-0 victory over UC Riverside in their season opener.
Ryan Bush is in his 14th season as a collegiate head coach, all of which have been at Oral Roberts. Bush has led the Golden Eagles to a 102-87-32 record during his tenure.
Drake leads ORU 6-3 in the two teams' all-time series. The Bulldogs won the most recent meeting with a 1-0 victory last year after Oral Roberts took three fixtures before that. The Dogs are looking to build upon their 3-2 record at ORU.

Scouting FIU
The Panthers of FIU are currently 2-2-1 this season with an impressive ranked win under their belt. FIU opened the season with a 6-2 loss at Creighton before tying Omaha. The Panthers then took down 20th-ranked NC State before picking up another home win and losing at St. John's. The Panthers are set to visit No. 19 Missouri State on Friday, Sep. 11 before hosting Drake on Sep. 19.
Kyle Russell has been at the helm of the FIU men's soccer program for seven years. He has led the Panthers to a 54-35-19 record during that time.
Next weekend's battle on South Beach will be the first all-time matchup between Drake and FIU.
