The Basics
The Drake women's soccer team is set to close out its four-match road trip on Saturday afternoon when it takes on the Evansville Purple Aces. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. from Arad McCutchan Stadium. There will be no live stream available for the game, but live stats will be provided.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
Last week, the Bulldogs began conference play facing Valparaiso on the road and battled through wet conditions to come out victorious, 4-0. Drake picked up its first road win of the season by defeating the Beacons and now is 1-3-1 on the road this season. Drake's overall record currently sits at 6-3-1.
Zoey Mahoney was the star of the show against the Beacons scoring two goals in the contest. It marked the first multi-goal game of her career. Following her brace against the Beacons, the senior was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Week. Mahoney also played a key role in the Bulldogs backline shutting out Valpo on the scoreboard and limiting the Beacons attack to just three shots on net. Mahoney has now been honored as the MVC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.

Scouting Evansville
Evansville comes into Saturday's contest 2-3-1, riding a two-game losing streak with losses coming against Middle Tennessee (3-1) and Southern Illinois (2-1). The Purple Aces are 2-2 at home this season, and 0-1 in conference play.
Chris Pfau, in his second stint as the Purple Aces head coach, led Evansville to seven wins last season, marking their highest win total since 2021. During the 2025 campaign, he guided four Purple Aces to All-MVC recognition.
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 16-10-4, winning the last matchup between the teams in 2025, 1-0. When playing in Evansville, Drake is 7-6-3.
