COLUMBIA, Mo. – Drake cross country was back in action at a challenging Gans Creek Classic hosted by the Tigers of Missouri.
Chloe Glosser had another stellar showing as Drake's top female finisher. Glosser, a freshman, was 35th in the women's 6k race with a time of 20:26.4. She ended up as the only Drake woman inside the top 100.
Kayci Martensen was next across the line for the Bulldogs with a time of 21:19.1. Other Bulldog participants included
Breanna Burak (21:29.2),
Anika Mohrhauser (21:35.5),
Sophia Agan (21:38.8),
Amilia Condon (21:48.8), and
Ella Brown (22:25.4).
Drake's men were led by
Daniel Rotich, who finished just ahead of Glosser with a 33rd-place result.
Brenden Heitzig was behind him with a time of 24:04.1, good enough for 78th.
The remainder of the Bulldog men running at Mizzou were
Daghyn True (24:27.2),
Carter Beasley (24:43.9),
Titus Kiprotich (24:59.9),
Shane Fisher (25:06.2), and
Jed Wilson (25:14.4).
Next Saturday, Oct. 3, marks the Dogs' next outing. Drake will take a trip to Waverly for Wartburg College's Dan Huston Invite.
