Biography

2008 - Started all 18 games in which he played and posted a 12-4-1 mark on the strength of 55 saves and a 1.01 goals against average en route to second team All-MVC honors...didn’t surrender a goal in his first six starts of the season, including a 2-0 Drake victory over No. 24 Loyola...twice netted a career-best seven saves, including a 2-1 win over Stanford...ranked 68th in NCAA in goals against average...among top-five in the MVC in six statistical categories. 2007 - Did not play. 2006 - Redshirt. High School - Four-year varsity player at Loyola Academy, leading the team to the sectional finals all four seasons...selected to Illinois All-State All-Academic team...named to Chicago Catholic League all-conference team as a junior after earning Illinois Class AA State Team honorable mention honors as a sophomore.  Other - Played club soccer with the FC United...trained with Zaglebie Lubin in Polish First Division in 2007...starting keeper for Ottawa Fury each of last two years. Personal - Born Dec. 28, 1987 in Chicago, Ill....majoring in business/marketing...son of Mitchell and Sophie Drozd...named to Dean’s List...Drake Presidential Scholarship recipient.
