Biography
2017 Cross Country - Finished with an 8k time of 29:05.2 at the Bradley Pink Classic...ran a time of 22:18.7tofinish 52nd at the Oz Memorial.
Prior to Drake – Was named all-state in both cross country and track & field as a senior ... finished fifth at the state cross country championships and seventh in the 1,600 meters at the state track & field championships ... helped his cross country team to a region championship and a runner-up finish at sectionals ... had personals bests as a senior of 15:03 in the cross country 5k, 4:24 in the 1,600 meters and 9:42 in the 3,200 meters ... as a junior, he was all-state in cross country with a 24th place finish at the state meet and helped his team to a third-place finish in the Class 1A championships.
Personal – Is the son of Melissa and Dennis Phillips .. his older brother, Nate, is currently on the track & field team at Coe College ... intends to major in biology at Drake ... was the recipient of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence.
