Prior to Drake: Qualified for the Drake relays as a senior ... won the drake relays as a junior … participated with the track and field team for three years ...  led Urbandale as a team captain to finish 13th overall in State Cross Country ... was on the varsity cross country team for four years.
 

Personal: Son of Rachael Pettit and Nate knepper … brother, Alec, is also a distance runner at Drake University ... was an honor roll student for all four years of high school ... he intends to major in kinesiology.
