Biography

Alex Thompson is in his first season as a student-assistant coach with the Bulldogs.

Thompson was a two-year student-athlete for the squad before suffering a career-ending neck injury on a kickoff during the third game of his sophomore season.

A Presidential Scholarship recipient and honors program enrollee, he came to Drake after being named an All-Centennial Conference first team defense selection as senior for Cherry Creek High School. He was also a 2010 second team All-Colorado linebacker by Colorado Football Magazine.
