Biography

Returning starter at tight end who played in 19 games and started 10 in first two seasons.

2011 — Caught two passes for 51 yards with a long of 38 in win versus Valparaiso.

2010 — Played in all 11 games and started 10, catching 14 passes for 162 yards (11.6) with one touchdown and a long of 26.

  • Grabbed four passes for 40 yards in win versus Butler (11/13).
  • Caught three passes for 51 yards (17.0) and a touchdown in win versus Davidson (10/23).
  • Had three receptions for 28 yards (9.3) in win versus Marist (10/2).

2009 — Played in eight games as reserve tight end and caught two passes for 14 yards (vs. Campbell), while adding two rushing attempts for 4 yards (2.0).

2008 — Redshirted.

Prep — Two-time Mid-Suburban East all-conference quarterback at Rolling Meadows High School in Arlington Heights, Ill....named all-area his senior year...honored by Illinois High School Football Coaches Association as academic all-state.

Personal — TV/Radio major...named to 2008, 2009 and 2010 Pioneer Football League Fall Academic Honor Roll...recipient of Drake Presidential Scholarship...son of James and Christine Sabal...born Sept. 1, 1989.
