Prep — Earned first team Alaska all-state honors after averaging 28.3 points, 13.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists as a senior, while leading Metlakatla to a 24-4 record and a fifth-place finish in the 2004 Alaska Class 3A state tournament...runner-up for Alaska Class 3A prep player of year...shot 55.2 percent from the floor, including 46.1 percent from three-point range...also shot 84.9 percent from the free throw line...scored a season-high 39 points against Ketchikan High School...was a three-year starter at Metlakatla and was a three-time first-team All-Region 5 selection...averaged 27.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists as a junior, while earning second team Class 3A all-state honors...scored a career-high 44 points against Mount Edgecumbe High School as a junior...averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists as a sophomore, earning honorable mention all-state honors...played AAU basketball for Branch West Basketball Academy high school, which is located on the Annette Islands off the southeastern coast of Alaska, also won the 2004 Region 5 crossover title between Region Class 3A and 4A schools, for the first time in school history...also became first basketball player in Metlakatla to sign with NCAA Division I program and first Division I signee from southeast Alaska since Carlos Boozer of Juneau signed with Duke in 1999.
