2014 Cross Country — Placed 28th in the team top seven at the Oz Memorial and was 39th at the Bulldog Classic.

Prep —  Member of the Iowa Class 4A state champion track team and placed seventh in the 1600 as a senior at Waukee High School... placed ninth to earn all-state honors at the 2013 Iowa Class 4A state cross country meet... named academic all-state in cross country in 2013... cross country team captain as a senior... three year letterwinner in cross country and track.

Personal — Economics and politics major... son of Paul and Patricia Tunink... has three sisters, Meagan, Kathleen and Bridget... father, Paul, and sisters Meagan and Kathleen are all Drake alumni... one of his high school coaches was former Drake runner, Jeff Grassmeyer.
