Senior (2017-18): Redshirted due to injury.
Junior (2016-17): Selected All-MVC ... spent the better half of the season recovering from off-season surgery ... ended the season strong by going 6-1 in his last 10 matches in singles ... registered a combined a 13-20 singles/doubles record.
Sophomore (2015-16): Registered a combined 24-35 singles/doubles record ... was named MVC Player of the Week for leading the Bulldogs to a win over No. 70 Utah State ... was selected to play in the qualifying doubles draw with Ben Lott at the ITA All-American Championships … advanced to the second round of the ITA Central Regional Championships and fell to No. 50 Alex Ghilea from Oklahoma.
Freshman (2014-15): Played at No. 1 doubles with Ben Lott in 14 matches … defeated No. 36 Jared Hiltzik and Tim Kopinski of Illinois to help earn the doubles point for the Bulldogs in the second round of the NCAA Tournament … posted a 17-12 doubles record and a 11-7 singles mark … made his collegiate debut at the Roger Knapp Invitational and registered a 4-2 combined singles/doubles ledger in his lone tournament ... captured the top singles flight at the Roger Knapp Invitational with a trio of victories.
High School: The top-rated junior player out of the Texas in 2014, didn’t play high school tennis for Memorial Drive Academy ... achieved No. 42 national juniors ranking and was top-ranked junior player in Texas and the Gulf States region by TennisRecruiting.net in 2014.
Personal: Born in Dec. 1994 in Houston, Texas ... majoring in business ... son of Abraham and Bea Philips.
