Drake University Athletics

Senior (Fall 2008):  Posted a 6-4 mark...reached the semifinals of the main singles draw at Drake Fall Invitational...paired with Ivan Mendoza and finished runner-up in doubles at Drake Fall Invitational...notched three-set victory over Nick Spinazze of Arkansas at ITA Central Regional. 

Junior (2007-08): Turned in a 28-25 combined singles/doubles ledger, while earning an 11-7 record in doubles with Bokang Setshogo en route to first team All-MVC honors at the No. 3 position...staked claim to the No. 6 singles crown at the MVC Individuals. 

Junior (2006-07): Awarded medical redshirt following an injury...posted a 7-3 singles mark in fall, including earning the ?B’ flight title at the Drake Tennis Fall Invitational. 

Before Drake:  Played two seasons at Graceland University at the top singles position, helping lead the school to the second round of the NAIA National Championships. 

High School:  Claimed national singles and doubles crowns in Honduras from 2000-04...was a two-time singles winner (2003-04) in the under 18 division of the Central American Tennis Championships. 

Personal:  Born Dec. 2, 1986, in Lima, Peru...majoring in finance and information systems...son of Maximo Lau and Carol Cooper.
