Haley Abrams was hired as the Drake University rowing's second assistant coach in October, 2021 and was promoted to assistant coach later in the season. Abrams was a student-athlete with the Drake rowing program from 2014-18.
Prior to returning to Drake, Abrams, a native of Byron, Minn., was the head coach of the Rochester (Minn.) Rowing Club for two years. As a student-athlete, she was named to the 2018 All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team and was a member of that year's varsity 8+ boat that placed third at the MAAC championships. Abrams was a member of multiple boats, including the varsity 8 and varsity 4.
Abrams graduated from Drake in May, 2018 with a bachelor's degree in biology. She is currently working towards her strength and conditioning specialist certification.
