Junior Year (2024-25): Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Third Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team…began first year at Drake coming off the bench before entering starting lineup…played in all 34 games with 28 starts…went 121-for-248 from the field (.488), 80-for-177 from 3-point range (.452)…and 8-for-12 from the free throw line (.667)…averaged 9.7 points per game on the year…grabbed 64 rebounds, distributed 67 assists, made 18 steals, and rejected three shots…scored season-high 20 points including season-high six made 3-pointers at Southern Illinois…grabbed season-best seven rebounds at Iowa State.

Prior to Drake: Two-year contributor at MVC rival Illinois State…increased scoring average from 3.6 ppg as a freshman to 7.4 ppg as a sophomore…member of 2022-23 Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship team.
 
High School: Star player at Waupun High School in Waupun, Wis…four-time East Central Conference Player of the Year…Two-time Wisconsin All-State performer…averaged at least 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game during prep career…member of two-time East Central Conference championship squad, 2022 WIAA Division 3 State Champions…scored 2,055 career points…played on AAU circuit for Wisconsin Flight Elite.
 
Personal: Born May 2004…daughter of Tim and Sarah Aalsma…dad played basketball at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul…three siblings, Naomi, Tymon, and Lydia, a future hooper at St. Thomas…cousin Stephanie graduated from Drake in 2014…intends to study Sociology on track for social services and policies…chose Drake because of the community and the culture of the women’s basketball program, loves the team’s style of play, appreciates the city of Des Moines, and the academic standing.
