Haley Helverson joined the Drake staff in the spring of 2021 following an elite professional and collegiate career.
Helverson attended Minnesota where she was the captain of the Golden Gophers women's soccer team in 2014 and 2015. In 2013, she earned second team All-Big Ten honors and was a member of the league's All-Freshman team.
Following her time as a student-athlete, she played professionally in three leagues, most recently for the Puerto Rico Sol in Liga Puerto Rico in 2018-19. There she was was the league's Player of the Year in leading the team to the league title.
Before that, she was a member of Östersund DFF in Sweden's Elitettan. She began her career as the captain of the WPSL's Des Moines' Menace.
