DeVante Frazier joins the Drake Sports Medicine Department with over 10 years of experience in athlete care, performance, and recovery.

He most recently served as Associate Athletic Trainer for Men’s Basketball at McNeese State. Prior to that, he was the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Men’s Basketball Athletic Trainer at the University Louisville, where he led medical coordination, performance collaboration, and department-wide initiatives.

Frazier’s career includes previous roles at Colorado State University, IUPUI, and Lamar University. Over these years, Frazier has worked with a wide range of sports including men’s basketball, track & field, cheer, swim & dive, golf, and tennis.

A Native of Pembroke, Georgia, Frazier holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology, and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He maintains certifications in Performance Exercise Specialization, Corrective Exercise Specialization, Functional and Myofascial Dry Needling, and Myofascial Cupping. He and his wife Radhika, along with their dog Allie, are excited to call Des Moines home. Go Bulldogs!
