COLUMBIA, MO. - Homecomings are never always what one expects and for Drake women's tennis coach
Urska Juric the return to her alma mater on Friday (Feb. 23) was bittersweet as Missouri registered a 5-2 victory over the Bulldogs at the Green Tennis Center.
The Tigers established the tone of the match in doubles play as Missouri swept all three matches to secure the doubles point and a lead it never relinquished.
Sophomore
Veronika Leszayova (Sochi, Russia) made the most of her match at the top singles slot as she rallied to notch a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory over Erika Josbena.
Senior Eve Rusdianto (Surabaya, Indonesia) accounted for Drakes other point in the match as she posted a 6-3, 7-6 (3) triumph against Raquel Wagner at No. 3 singles.
The Bulldogs stand at 2-7 on the campaign following the setback, while the Tigers even their ledger at 3-3.
Up next for Drake is a date with Montana on Saturday (Feb. 24) in Columbia, Mo. Match time is slated for 10:00 a.m.
