DES MOINES, IOWA - The Drake women's tennis team snapped its three-match losing streak in a big way on Saturday (March 11) as the Bulldogs cruised to a 7-0 victory over Gustavus Adolphus at the Drake Tennis Center.

The blue and white got strong doubles play en route to sweeping all three contests to take a 1-0 advantage into singles action.

Sophomore Veronika Leszayova (Povazska Bystrica/Slovak Republic) improved to 8-4 on the dual campaign in singles as she registered a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at No. 1 singles over Lauren Hom.

Senior Eve Rusdianto (Surabaya, Indonesia) upped her ledger to 6-5 on the dual campaign following a 6-2, 6-3 decision versus Jaime Gaard at the second position.

Drake also received victories at the Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 slots courtesy of junior Irina Kalashnikova (Sochi, Russia), sophomore Kari Sloboth (Omaha, Neb./Burke), sophomore Zi Wang (Hebei Province, China) and junior Allison Wilkie (Omaha, Neb./Skutt Catholic).

The Bulldogs will go in search of two straight victories as Drake hosts UMKC on Sunday (March 11) at 11:00 a.m.
