DES MOINES, IOWA ? Drake posted its second consecutive women's tennis victory as the Bulldogs notched a 7-0 home decision over UMKC on Saturday (March 8).

The win pushed Drake's ledger to 4-5 on the campaign, while dropping the Kangaroos to 0-4.

The Bulldogs swept all nine matches in the affair to collect their third home victory of the season.

Junior Veronika Leszayova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovak Republic) netted a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No.1 singles, bettering Chelsea Horner.

Senior Irina Kalashnikova (Sochi, Russia) added a 6-2, 6-2 decision at the second singles hole versus Emily Lindsay.

The Bulldogs also garnered victories at the Nos. 3-6 positions from freshman Adela Aprodu (Hamilton, Ontario), juniors Kari Sloboth (Omaha, Neb.) and Sarah Plowman (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and senior Daria Zawislak (Gdansk, Poland)

The Bulldogs return to the court later in the afternoon as Drake welcomes Gustavus Adolphus to the Drake Tennis Center at 4:00 p.m.
