DES MOINES, IOWA ? The Bulldogs completed a sweep of their women's tennis doubleheader on Saturday (March 8) with a 7-0 victory over Gustavus Adolphus at the Drake Tennis Center.

Drake registered wins in two of the three doubles contests to secure the doubles point.

The tandem of juniors Veronika Leszayova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovak Republic) and Sarah Plowman (Halifax, Nova Scotia) posted an 8-2 decision at the top spot versus Jenni White and Sierra Kresbach. At the No. 3 position, seniors Irina Kalashnikova (Sochi, Russia) and Daria Zawislak (Gdansk, Poland) downed Laura Arnebeck and Erica Dobson, 9-7.

The Bulldogs swept the singles matches with freshman Adela Aprodu (Hamilton, Ontario) defeating Ali O'Neal, 6-4, 7-6 (4).

The win pushed Drake's ledger to 5-5 on the campaign, including three straight victories, while dropping the Gusties to 9-3.

The Bulldogs return to the court later on March 17 in Fort Myers, Fla., as Drake faces Ohio State and Florida Gulf Coast at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., respectively.
