DES MOINES, IOWA ? Drake senior guard Leonard Houston is one of 10 players who have been selected to play for Athletes in Action on their four-game trip to Poland, May 19-26.

The team will play the Under 20 Polish national team twice on the tour. Tim Maloney, the associate head coach at Massachusetts ,will serve as head coach for the Athletes in Action team.
Athletes in Action has sent teams around the world for more than 25 years.

The six-foot 2-inch Houston earned second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference playing honors this past season while helping lead Drake to both the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and post-season conference tournament championships.

Houston also was named a member of the MVC Most Improved team after averaging 14.1 points and 4.5 rebounds.

The Holland, Mich., native was a key member of the Drake team which posted a school-record 28-5 mark en route to advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1971.
