Junior Alisa DeBerg Roth (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) shared match honors with 12 kills.
"Overall I thought we played well," said Drake head coach Phil McDaniel. "I liked the energy and the focus we had tonight, but our downfall was that we made too many errors and gave up too many points,"
The Bulldogs play host to No. 25 ranked Wichita State in a 7 p.m. home match Saturday night.
"This is the toughest back-to-back matches on the schedule," commented McDaniel. "We are going to have to be very sharp tomorrow night from the beginning against a very good Wichita State team.
Missouri State, which received 10 votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, improved to 11-4 overall.
The Lady Bears moved to 4-0 in MVC play.
