DES MOINES, IOWA - The Drake volleyball team picked up its ninth win of the season with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-13) sweep of UMKC Tuesday (Sept. 15).

Drake opens Missouri Valley Conference play, hosting UNI and Bradley Friday and Saturday, respectively. Each match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
"We have got to pick up the intensity as we enter MVC play Friday," noted McDaniel. This is the second half of the season for us and is what will determine whether we go to Omaha at Thanksgiving this year."
