DES MOINES, IOWA --  Fifth-year senior All-American defensive end Dain Taylor (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) has been named the Pioneer Football League co-defensive player of the week for his effort at Dayton.
   
Playing his best game in a Drake uniform, Taylor finished with a career-high 12 tackles, including 3.5 quarterback sacks, while recording a 10-yard quarterback sack for a safety in the third quarter and blocking a 36-yard field goal attempt by Dayton in the first quarter.
