DENVER, COLO. - The Drake men's tennis team
encountered its initial ranked team of the campaign and unfortunately for the
Bulldogs No. 60 Brigham Young earned a 6-1 decision on Saturday (Feb. 13).
The Cougars swept all
three doubles matches to establish a lead they didn't relinquish.
Freshman Jean Erasmus (Windhoek,
Namibia) notched his third consecutive singles victory to account for the
Bulldogs' lone point in the affair besting Roman Warias at the No. 5 position,
6-3, 6-1.
Drake concludes its
weekend visit to Colorado with 1:00 p.m. showdown versus No. 53 Denver on
Sunday (Feb. 14).
