PRIMM, NEV. -- Drake senior Olivia Lansing (Dellwood, Minn.) shot a 1-under 71 in the final round to win the individual title at the Jackrabbit Invitational at the Primm Valley Golf Club Tuesday.

Lansing, who earned her fifth career victory, posted a three-day total of 3-under 213 becoming the only player to finish under par in the tournament.

Drake finished in third-place finish in 16-team field with an 896, just six strokes behind Oral Roberts which won the tournament championship with a 28-over 892 total.

"We played really well, making dramatic improvement from our previous outing," said Drake head golf coach Scot Bohlender.  "Everybody had at least one good round.

"Everything came together for Olivia (Lansing). It was a good win for her."

Lansing posted birdies on the Nos. 4, 8, 9 and 15th holes.

Junior Michelle Mathwick (Greenfield, Wis.), carding a final round of one-under-par 71, finished tied for eighth with a 78-75-71-224.

Senior Elena Vukmir (Wauwatosa, Wis.) tied for 16th at 70-82-74=226.

Drake will resume action Thursday, hosting the Monterey Invitational in Monterey, Calif.
