MONTEREY, CALIF. -- Lamar overcome a one-stroke deficit entering the third round to capture the Monterey Invitational, beating the Drake women's golf team by two strokes Saturday.
Lamar posted a 310-310-310=930, while the Bulldogs carded a 300-319-313=932 in the nine-team tournament played at the Del Monte Golf Course.

Olivia Lansing (Dellwood, Minn.) finished second in the individual standings with a 74-74-75=223. Drake junior
Michelle Mathwick (Greenfield, Wis.) was fourth with a 74-81-74=229.

Elena Vukmir (Wauwatosa, Wis.) tied for 12th at 71-73-85=239 Seniors
Kelly Godwin (Centerville, Minn.) and
Amanda Vogt (Melbourne, Iowa) were tied for 24th posting scores of 81-82-82=245.
