PEORIA, Ill. -- Drake's
Olivia Lansing ran away with medalist honors and the Bulldogs defended their team title at the Hotels at Grand Prairie Collegiate Classic Tuesday at the par-72 WeaverRidge Golf Club.
Lansing entered the day with a two-shot lead on the field and turned in the best round of the day with a one-under par 71 to finish at even-par 216 for the 54-hole event to also defend her individual title from last year.
Drake shot 895 and had four players finish in the top seven. All six Bulldogs tied for 17th or better to help Drake to a 24-shot lead on the field.

Michelle Mathwick (Greenfield, Wis.) was fourth with a 74-77-75=226, while senior
Elena Vukmir (Wauwatosa, Wis.) tied for fifth at 78-75-75=228. Junior
Kaitlyn Mauk (West Des Moines, Iowa) tied for seventh at 82-73-73=229 and senior
Kelly Godwin (Centerville, Minn.) tied for 13th at 80-75-77=232. Senior
Amanda Vogt (Melbourne, Iowa) tied for 17th at 80-80-75=235.
Bradley followed in second place at 919 and Northern Iowa was third at 928. Western Illinois finished fourth at 932 and in-state foe Eastern Illinois was fifth in the standings at 947. Southern Illinois placed sixth at 948 and was followed by Dayton (7th - 956) and Loyola (8th - 965). SIU Edwardsville claimed ninth at 973, while Valparaiso was 10th at 1211 to complete the field.
Drake returns to action April 18-20 at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Evansville, Ind.
