DES MOINES, IOWA - The 2010 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll, announced Tuesday (March 8), includes a school-record 55 student-athletes from Drake.

The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the fall semester and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.

Five member schools boasted 40 or more student-athletes on the honor roll this season. Pioneer Football League athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes.

The 2010 Drake Bulldogs posted a 7-4 record, including a 6-2 mark in the conference to finish in third place.
