DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake
women's tennis team registered its second victory of the day at the Mid-America
Jamboree Team Dual on Saturday (Jan. 28) as the Bulldogs (3-1) posted a 6-1
triumph past SIU Edwardsville (3-1) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Drake swept the doubles competition with the tandem of senior Jessica Aguilera (Santa Cruz, Bolivia)
and sophomore Klavdija Rebol (Kranj,
Slovenia) claiming the doubles point downing Laura Horning and Amanda Miller at
No. 2, 8-1.
The Bulldogs continued their stellar play in singles en route to securing
wins at five of the six positions to claim the match.
Drake rounds out tournament competition hosting South Dakota on Sunday
(Jan. 29) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center starting at 2:00 p.m.
