DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake women's soccer team was honored for its academic success by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as a College Team Academic Award Winner for 2012.

Recognized for the 10th consecutive campaign, Drake was distinguished for maintaining a team grade point average of 3.28 for the 2011-12 academic year. The Bulldogs were one of 502 women's programs across all levels of collegiate soccer to be so honored across the country.

"This award reflects our players' dedication to academic success," Drake head coach Lindsey Horner.  "Our players hold themselves to high standards academically and put in the work required to be successful student-athletes."
