DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake women's tennis team collected its 12th win of the season on Saturday (March 10), registering a 7-0 victory over Gustavus Adolphus in the first of two matches for the Bulldogs at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

Drake swept doubles play with the duo of senior Gabriela Demos (Chesterfield, Mo.) and junior Manca Krizman (Solkan, Slovenia) improving to 12-2 on the dual campaign after clinching the deciding point, downing Megan Gaard and Laurel Krebsbach at No. 1, 8-1.

The Bulldog garnered wins from junior Ali Patterson (Overland Park, Kan.) and senior Amanda Aragon (Fort Collins, Colo.) at the Nos. 4 and 6 singles slots, respectively, to build a 3-0 lead.

Patterson notched a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Megan Born at No. 4, before Aragon dealt Sophie Horton a 6-2, 6-2 setback at No. 6.

Attention then turned to court No. 1 where Demos finished off Alex Erickson, 6-2, 6-2, to earn the deciding point in the affair.

Drake also benefited from wins at the Nos. 2, 3 and 5 slots courtesy of sophomore Klavdija Rebol (Kranj, Slovenia), freshman Nell Boyd (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and senior Earlynn Lauer (Wichita, Kan.).

The Bulldogs wrap up their eight-match homestand later on Saturday (March 10) with a 5:00 p.m. tilt versus Nebraska-Omaha at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
