ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Drake sophomore Kylynn Moyer (Omaha, Neb./Millard North) has been selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (Oct. 21).
The accolade marks the third for a Bulldog this season and represents the second award for Moyer during her Drake career.
Moyer equaled a school record pulling in 14 saves en route to posting her fifth shutout of the season in the Bulldogs' 3-0 victory past Missouri State last Saturday (Oct. 18).
Moyer turned in six saves in the initial stanza before stonewalling the Bears in the second half with eight saves. Several of the stops were on 1v1 opportunities inside the box.
On the season, Moyer has made 80 saves en route to recording five shutouts and a 1.17 goals against average.
Drake (7-7-2) returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 25) hosting Illinois State in a 7:00 p.m. contest at the Cownie Soccer Complex.
