DES MOINES, Iowa – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has honored the Drake men's soccer program for its academic success as the Bulldogs were named a College Team Academic Award Winner for 2014.
Led by longtime head coach Sean Holmes, Drake posted a 3.34 team GPA for the 2013-14 academic year to earn its 10th NSCAA College Team Academic accolades. Drake is one of 282 men's collegiate soccer programs across all divisions to earn the award.
NSCAA also announced that Drake is one of 197 schools to have both its men's and women's soccer programs recognized. Women's soccer under the direction of head coach Lindsey Horner was recognized by NSCAA for maintaining a team grade point average of 3.47 for the 2013-14 academic year.
