DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's golf team will compete in six tournaments in six states across the country as part of its 2015 spring schedule announced by head coach Matt Lewis, Tuesday, Dec. 2.

"I am looking forward to our upcoming spring schedule,” Lewis said. “All but one of our events will be at a new course,  which will provide a great challenge for our team. Our schedule is set up well since most of our events are in March and April. If mother nature is kind to us this should help us play our best golf at the end of the season."

The Bulldogs' spring slate gets underway on Feb. 9-10 at the Western Illinois Carlton Oaks Invitational in Santee, Calif., on the Carleton Oaks Golf Course.

A month later, Drake travels to Bluffton, S.C., for the Colleton River Intercollegiate. The two-day (March 9-10) event is hosted by Michigan State at the Colleton River Plantation.

The following week the Bulldogs will compete in the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev. (March 16-17). Drake will then take two weeks off before traveling closer to home to participate in the Bradley Invitational April 3-4 at the Weaver Ridge Golf Club in Peoria, Ill.

The team will get its final tune-up of the season in on April 11-12 at the NYX Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. Two weeks later the team wraps up the regular-season at the MVC Championship in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. (April 27-28).
