DES MOINES, Iowa - In the second of its two matches on the day, the Drake men's tennis team completed a doubleheader sweep on Friday evening (Feb. 7) registering a 4-0 triumph over UMKC at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs (4-3) assumed a lead they didn't relinquish in doubles after the tandem of senior Robin Goodman (Cambridge, England) and sophomore Ben Lott (Newcastle, England) collected the doubles point with a 6-2 victory versus Tomas Patino  and Mike Psarros at the top position.

Lott extended Drake's advantage to 2-0 in singles downing Psarros on court No. 1, 6-3, 6-0.

Junior Ravi Patel (London, England) pushed the Bulldogs' lead to 3-0 after besting Vinh Pham at No. 4, 6-1, 6-2.

Junior Matt Frost (Cambridge, England) wrapped up Drake's second win of the day netting the match-clinching tally at the No. 3 position, 6-4, 6-2, past Andrev Smirnov.

The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday (Feb. 15) traveling to Madison, Wis., to face the 70th-ranked Badgers in an 11:00 a.m. match.
