The Game
• The Drake University men's basketball team returns home on Saturday afternoon to host Evansville in the first meeting between the two teams this season.
• The Bulldogs take to their home court after earning a 69-57 road win at Bradley on Wednesday evening thanks to a combined 44 points from Reed Timmer, Gary Ricks, Jr., and Jacob Enevold.
• The Purple Aces sit in third place in the MVC standings with a 6-3 league record after reeling off three-straight wins.
• Evansville is led by the MVC's leading scorer, D.J. Balentine, who scores at a 19.7 points per game clip.
• Six of the Bulldogs' nine MVC games to date have come against teams picked in the top five of the preseason MVC poll. The Bulldogs have yet to play SIU and Evansville.
• Drake's seven MVC foes own a combined league record of 36-27 (.571).
• Additionally, Drake's 16 losses have come to teams with a combined 196-95 (.674) record.
• Drake's four active freshmen account for 32.9 percent of the Bulldogs' scoring and 36.2 percent of the team's minutes.
• Last week's MVC Player of the Week, Gary Ricks, Jr., has scored 78 points in his last five games and is 18-of-39 from the three-point arc during that span.
• In Drake's wins, the team has averaged 77.2 points, shot 57.9 percent, 47.4 percent from three-point range and averaged 16.2 assists.
• The Bulldogs' win at Bradley snapped a 12-game road losing streak and a 17-game skid away from the Knapp Center.
