The Drake University women's basketball team welcomed members of the local media into the Shivers Basketball Practice Facility on Thursday, Oct. 15, to preview the fast-approaching 2015-16 season.

Fourth-year head coach Jennie Baranczyk started the afternoon accessing her team, the season and the many new and exciting rule changes this year in NCAA women's basketball with the group of media members. Watch coach Baranczyk's comments below.

Drake hosts exhibition contests against Grand View (Nov. 3) and Simpson (Nov. 8), respectively, before its season-opener against Iowa State on Nov. 15 at the Knapp Center.
