DES MOINES, Iowa – A dominating 7-0 performance by the Drake University women's tennis team over Creighton on Saturday (Feb. 14) at Roger Knapp Tennis Center improved the Bulldogs' record to 5-1 in dual-match action.

Drake made quick work of the Creighton doubles teams as Nell Boyd (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Mariel Ante (Riverside, Calif.) cruised to a 6-1 victory, while Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) and Summer Brills ( North Oaks, Minn.) won 6-2. Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.) and Adrienne Jensen (Iowa City, Iowa) downed CU's Liz Vermillion and Sam Anderson 7-5 to cap off the Drake doubles point.

Drake continued to roll in singles as all six Bulldogs won in straight sets and no one gave up more than five games. Boyd was the first off the court at No. 4 with a crushing 6-1, 6-1, victory, followed by Brills, winning 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2.

Drake hosts North Dakota and Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday (Feb. 14). The Bulldogs start play at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center at 9 a.m. against North Dakota, followed by Gustavus at 2 p.m.
