Fresh off a 4-0 start to the season and a tournament title, the Drake University volleyball team has four matches on the docket this week as the Bulldogs continue their early season schedule.
The Bulldogs travel to Brookings, S.D., on Tuesday for a single game against South Dakota State at 6 p.m. The contest comes just three days after the Bulldogs claimed the Hampton Inn Leatherneck Invitational over the weekend with wins against DePaul, SIU Edwardsville, Western Illinois and Akron.

Following the match at SDSU, the Bulldogs travel to Omaha, Neb., to compete in three matches over two days as part of the Omaha Invitational. There, the Bulldogs take on UCF on Sept. 4 at 4 p.m. On Saturday, the team faces Omaha at 12:30 p.m. and closes out the tournament against North Dakota at 4 p.m.
In their first four games, the Bulldogs were led by sophomore Kyla Inderski (Urbandale, Iowa) who had 59 kills and 60 digs with double-doubles in all matches to earn tournament MVP honors. Junior Makena Schoene (Seattle, Wash.) recorded 55 kills to also earn a spot on the all-tournament team. As a team, the Bulldogs hit .240 in their four wins.
