NORMAL, Ill. – The Drake University men's golf team wrapped up play at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate on Monday and finished in 18th-place overall.
Sophomore Drew Ison was the Bulldogs' top finisher, placing tied for 34 with a score of 226 (73-72-81), while fellow sophomore Matt Lavery produced Drake's best score of the day, shooting a 75 to finish the two-day event with a 230 (76-79-75). Freshmen Tommi Avant and Jack Kennedy finished their first collegiate event with a score of 231. Senior Will McDonald rounded out Drake's performance with a 240 (81-81-79).
The Bulldogs return to the links on Sunday, Sept. 27 at the Badger Invitational, hosted by Madison, Wis.
