DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's golf team is set to host the inaugural Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday (Oct. 5) and Tuesday (Oct. 6) at the Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.

“We are extremely excited to host the first ever Zach Johnson Invitational! All of the planning and work has led us to this point and we are ready for the time to come,” said head coach Matt Lewis.

Joining the Bulldogs are Bradley, Creighton, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, SIUE and UNI for the two-day event.

The invitational will be a three-round tournament with two rounds on Monday (36 holes) and the final round Tuesday (18 holes). Monday will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on the par 71 course, followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday.

“This will be a great opportunity for out team to play at home in front of our fans and supports. Glen Oaks will be a great venue to compete at and will challenge all of the players,” said Lewis.
