Drake (13-6, 6-2 MVC) claimed a 76-64 victory over the Bradley Braves Friday night. The Bulldogs overcame a slow start that saw the Braves lead by as many as 11 points in the opening quarter. Drake chipped away with an 8-0 run to end the first and after Bradley started the second quarter on a 7-0 run the Bulldogs later answered with an 8-0 run to close the second as they claimed a 35-31 halftime lead and never trailed again in the game.

Lizzy Wendell (Blue Springs, Mo.) poured in a game-high 25 points and sophomore
Maddy Dean (Jordan, Minn.) scored 20 while freshman
Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.) just missed her fourth career double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
With her 25 points, Wendell moved into 13th all-time in career scoring going in front of former standout Tammi Blackstone (1996-2000), who had 1,581 career points. Wendell has 1,596 career points and only needs 10 points to jump up to 11th all-time in school history.
Loyola (10-9, 6-2 MVC) held off UNI for a 64-60 win Friday night as freshman reserve Grace Goodhart knocked down a three to break a 60-60 tie with just 12 seconds to go in the game. Junior Taylor Johnson, the team's top scorer at 14.8 points per game, had 22 in the win. Goodhart made four three-pointers and finished with 12 points.
Following Sunday's game, Drake returns to the Knapp Center to host Wichita State on Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.
