The Drake University football team has won its last three games and is looking to extend its streak on Saturday as the Bulldogs travel to Stetson University for the season finale.
Saturday's contest will be the third all-time meeting between Drake and Stetson. The Bulldogs leads the all-time series, 2-0, and won last year's meeting 41-3 at Drake Stadium. The Bulldogs enter Saturday's game with a 6-4 record and are 5-2 in PFL play and beat Butler, 28-14, last week. Last Saturday's win ensured the Bulldogs will finish with a winning record for the 12th time in the last 13 years. After dropping its last three PFL games, Stetson is 2-5 in the league and 4-6 overall.
Senior running back
Conley Wilkins is one of the best in the PFL and is looking to become the first Bulldog to rush over 1,000 yards since 2007. He ranks second in the PFL with 941 rushing yards and 1,365 all purpose yards. Wilkins has found the end zone nine times this season and has scored at least one touchdown in nine of his last 12 games, dating back to last season. For the second-straight year, fifth-year senior
Eric Saubert is leading the Bulldogs in receiving. This season, he has racked up 645 receiving yards on 52 receptions and eight touchdowns. Last year, he caught 55 passes for 580 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Defensively, fifth-year senior
Taylor Coleman leads the Bulldogs and ranks fifth in PFL with 8.5 tackles per game. He recorded a season-high 16 tackles in Drake's setback at Dayton on Oct. 1.
Stetson has the top two tacklers in the PFL, Jeb Boudreaux and Donald Payne. Boudreaux leads the league with 104 tackles (72 solo) and ranks seventh with five sacks. Payne, who is a two-time PFL Defensive Player of the Year, has recorded 100 or more tackles the past three seasons and has continued that trend this year with 100 stops (70 solo). Offensively, Cole Mazza is the team's leading rusher with 585 yards and seven touchdowns.
