DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's tennis team travels to Madison, Wis. on Thursday to square off against the University of Wisconsin at 2 p.m. at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
 
The Bulldogs head into Thursday's with a 6-2 record and are coming off a pair of wins on Feb. 12 over Middle Tennessee and Omaha. Sophomore Vinny Gillespie, who is ranked 78th in singles, earned his second MVC Athlete of the Week honor this season on Tuesday for his outstanding performance against MT and Omaha. He closed out his day with a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 53rd ranked Razvan Grigorescu.
 
The Badgers have a 4-1 record and spent last week on the East Coast with a 4-3 setback at Pennsylvania and earning a 4-3 win at Princeton. UW are led by Lamar Remy and Daniel Soyfer, who both have a 4-1 singles record this spring. In doubles, Remy and Chase Colton are a perfect 5-0 at No. 2 doubles.
 
Following Thursday's match, the Bulldogs head to Eugene, Ore. for a neutral site match against BYU on Feb. 25 and then square off against the Oregon Ducks on Feb. 26.
